Burns, ring marks, candle wax and wet stains are extremely difficult to remove without sanding and re-polishing. To avoid such damage use protective heatproof surface covers, placemats and tablecloths for hot pots and serving dishes. Use coasters for drinks, before placing on wooden or kitchen surfaces.

Similarly, heatproof candle holders should be used for candle lighting.

Always use a chopping board when using a knife or other sharp utensils in order to avoid scratches, nicks or gauges.

Heavy items, whether decoration or clothing, should always be placed in the lower shelves to avoid mishap or toppling over.

In the event that chair legs or table legs loosen and wobble please tighten them with the appropriate tool. Leaving this unattended could lead to injury or irreparable damage.
