Buses

Traveling by bus in Israel can be made easier by the use of the English version of Israel’s Public Transportation Info Center site. By entering departure location, destination and desired dates and times, your route is calculated and presented to you.

A sign at each bus stop lists the numbers of the buses and in most cases, the expected time of arrival to that stop.

In most places, bus service starts at about 05:00. Some routes run until approximately 23:30. On Fridays and the eve of holidays, bus service ends about an hour before the start of Shabbat or the holiday. There is no bus or train service on Shabbat until after sundown, except in Haifa.

Bus drivers are usually helpful about pointing out your stop.
