Ocean Relocation

Appliances

Most appliances are readily available in Israel. If you do purchase something electrical, please be certain it has a 110/220 volts, 50/60-cycle feature or is 220/50 cycle. The apartments and houses are 220 volts, 50 cycles. Be careful about cycles. For example, 110 volt items purchased in the US run on 60 cycles while the rest of the world runs on 50 cycles. This means that an electric clock purchased in the US will run at 5/6ths speed and lose 10 minutes an hour. However, today the current is usually converted in the appliance and the cycles don’t impact the operation. If you are uncertain, consult your salesperson, or look at the back of the appliance and search for something that states 50/60 cycles.

The maintenance and/or repair expenses for any appliances in the accommodation are the responsibility of the lessee, including any damage caused by your pets. Ocean will refer you to an insurance officer who will help provide a policy that should cover most of your needs.
